Terry “TJ” Johnson

Director of Technology & Facilities

Terry Johnson brings over two decades of hands-on technology and small business leadership to E42 Properties. As the former owner of a two-location Allstate insurance agency in Fort Washington and Waldorf, Maryland, Terry personally built out the physical and technology infrastructure of both offices from the ground up, an experience directly relevant to standing up and maintaining the smart-home systems across E42's growing portfolio.

A Howard University-trained electrical engineer with graduate studies in finance and marketing from The Wharton School, Terry has spent his career at the intersection of technology and execution: leading product strategy at Verisign, advising the Department of Defense on emerging spectrum technologies, and founding his own technology consulting practice, JMI Group Consulting, in 2018. Along the way, he's evaluated risk models for cyber insurance underwriting, giving him a sharp eye for the kind of practical safety and liability thinking E42's smart-home features depend on.

At E42, Terry brings that same builder's instinct to the ground level: keeping smart locks, thermostats, and safety systems running the way they're supposed to, so every guest and resident walks into a home that simply works.

Andrea R. Johnson, EsQ.

Founder & Host

Andrea is one of the co-founders and hosts behind E42 Properties, bringing hands-on experience managing short-term rental properties to the team. She's the voice behind E42's welcome guides, the same thoughtful, detail-oriented care guests experience throughout every property.

By day, Andrea is a transactional attorney with a background spanning corporate law, contract drafting and negotiation, and program leadership at the intersection of law, education, and community economic development. Her legal work reflects the same instinct driving E42: that careful structure and genuine care build something durable for the people and communities it serves. She holds a Juris Doctor and a bachelor's degree in psychology, with graduate study in international human rights law at Oxford.

Outside of both roles, Andrea is an avid traveler and gardener, with a growing collection of pieces sourced from her travels scattered throughout E42 homes. She helped shape E42's founding belief that a rental should never be just a transaction: it should be a third space, built to help guests exhale, reflect, and reset.
